Plot Summary:A Diary of Revival contains extracts from the actual diaries of the revivalist Evan Roberts chronicling the events as the Revival broke. Many of these writings have never before been published and give a unique insight into what has been called the greatest move of Gods Spirit in the last century. Evan Roberts was a young man from a humble background with a servant, praying heart. He left the life of a coalminer and blacksmith to devote himself to serving God, believing he had been called to take part in the Lords plan to bring revival to Wales. As we read about this crucial time in Wales spiritual history, we are reminded that God uses ordinary, flawed people to further His cause and see that extraordinary fruits are brought out of God -anointed, Spirit-led action. Through use of contemporary letters, interviews and photographs, this program examines the 1904 Welsh Revival through the eyes and thoughts of the Revivalist himself, 26-year-old Evan Roberts. From his conversion at 13 to the outbreak of Revival in November, 1904, the story traces the steps in his spiritual development from the coal mine and blacksmiths shop to the grammar school at Newcastle Emlyn and the actual outbreak of Revival at his home church of Moriah Lougher. Many are convinced we urgently need spiritual revival in the world today. God worked through 26-year-old Evan Roberts many years ago. Viewers are finding this program a strong stimulus to seek a new manifestation of Gods power in our day and age.
